Tranny whine and shifter block... sweet

I have an '06 SS/SC with about 20k miles on it now and I have noticed that I'm getting the transmission whine that some people have posted about when cruising in neutral. It's definitely most noticeable if you rev it high in 1st and then shift to neutral and cost. You can hear it whine down as you slow down. I can also hear it in second and sometimes third if I am engine breaking. I'm also getting that "block" or "wall" between shifts. It happens the most on the 1st to 2nd shift and I get it occasionally into 5th, 3rd and 4th seem to be fine. I also noticed sometimes its difficult to get into first/reverse from a complete stop. I've read that this could be anything from a bad pin in the shifter linkage to bad syncros. Are there a lot of people experiencing this or is it just me? If it is something normal than I won't worry about it but it sure does suck trying to quick shift into second and hitting a brick wall in the middle of the shift and looking like a ******* on the road. I haven't done any mods to the car and I pretty much baby it with the exception of some occasional "spirited" driving. If these things are common problems I hope they can be fixed under warranty.

tranny whine is normal....and the "shift wall" at a dead stop is normal too....The syncros are there to make the dog teeth spin at the same RPM as the input shaft...so at a dead stop the dog teeth may not be lining up like they should therefore they are blocking you from shifting...and the wall between shifts is the same thing...though the syncros are spinning like they are supposed to be..it may be that fraction of a second that makes the dog teeth not line up where they need to be....

LOL. Glad to hear I'm not the only one with the whining transmission. I did notice that if I can't get the shifter into reverse from a dead stop if it put into 1st and then reverse it works. However I still don't know what the problem is with 1st to 2nd. Am I shifting too quickly not giving time for the syncros to line up or is it something else? It doesn't happen all the time but enough to **** me off. I've tried changing my timing between shifts to see if it helps but it seems no matter how I drive it still happens.

I have a problem going from 1 to 2nd gear. i have a stage 4 clutch, and the dealer told me that it was because of my clutch.
