Just heard this song, it's growing on me
so here's a quick clip from a wedding i'm working on. the videos's not done yet, it's just cut up with the clips i want and i'll go back tomorrow and do all my real editing. never heard this song before, but it's kinda growing on me. it's some christian rock band or something, and totally not what i would ever listen to
my faves are pantera, deftones, soulfly, nothingface, etc. let me know what you think

Yea YouTube does suck. They convert the audio to mono and resize the videos too small and then have to enlarge them again in the player. Stage6 is much better
But yea that song's not half bad, where'd you find it?

it's toby mac i think, made for love is the name, i THINK. it was the song that they used to walk out of the reception too. you can't tell from the youtube **** quality but i lined it up to where it was playing live, through a room echo on it, and slowly faded the echo out so that when the song kicks in, the echo is gone. sounds pretty cool on a nice system. (i have a pretty nice speaker set up at work)
i doubt it!!
maybe i'll look into stage 6 then. i've watched a few videos on that site that looked really good. but i mean i don't really use these youtube videos for anything, it's mostly just rough cuts. i cut the videos up, and when i'm bored i take a look and come up with new things to do to them. never know when the creativity will hit

tried the stage 6, here's a different video. uploaded this one just to see the quality. it's a shitload better than youtube, still not perfect though. this is high definition. i have to mess with the settings i guess, but so far i'm pretty happy. all the wind noise was cut in the final video, and it was also shorter that this one.

none of this was scripted at all btw. i didn't set up a single shot. we went to the location, and it's just what happened. the only thing that was set up was the spin in the beginning

yea, look much better. still not perfect though. i was looking through the site, and there's some better quality videos on there, so i'm going to mess around with it a little.
the camera is a jvc gy110 hi def camera, anton bauer batteries, aftermarket rhode boom microphone, sennheiser wireless mics, and aftermarket lens. couldn't keep it stock
computer is a mac G5, couple terabyte drives, 6 gigs of ram etc. for the editing i use final cut pro studio 2, the newest version.
all the audio crossfades were re-done as well.

yea, it's one of the best cameras you can get without going into the really, really expensive ones. as far as my industry goes, it pretty much blows away what everyone else is using. the most popular cameras are the panasonic dvx 100's and the canon gl2, that's what the majority of people use. they're pretty good cameras for what we're doing, but you can definitely tell the difference right away when you put them side by side.
the camera setup was about $10,000 when i got it. the computer and programs were more than that.

money well spent. professions like yours THRIVE on new technology in quality and such. You gotta be getting the best you can, cause thats what people are looking for. Top quality=top reputation.
exactly. the unfortunate part is that the majority of customers don't appreciate the equipment, to them it doesn't mean anything. everyone tells them that they have the best. the average person can't tell the quality difference between the cameras unless they're watching a side by side comparison.
the company i'm with has been around for a long time, and we're recommended by some of the best places in the industry. so basically i got to go to b&h in the city, and pick out whatever i wanted. they have everything on display with monitors so you can test them out, and the camera i got was the one that i though was the best, without being rediculously overkill. but i constanly update my editing programs when the new one's come out. and i could use another couple gigs of ram
