Front bumper shipping to canada?

I was on ups and it gave me some crazy quote of like $520 to ship a front bumper from Ny to Montreal. Does anyone know how much it would really cost and by any chance does anyone know the weight of a stock SS/SC front bumper with lip..and measurments? Its ot my other house and I dont feel doing that much work. lol

You should go and pick it up yourself...NY is not that far from Mtl...7-8 hours maybe?

Shipping the front or rear fascia is too expensive in the states too. We've found it is cheaper to just buy it at a local dealer because the shipping is so high. It's not the weight -- it's the size of the box that makes it cost so much. Whoever gave you that price is probably not trying to scam you.

I know people that live in canada and to get vibe parts it was crazy expensive to ship them up, im talking cai, springs, exhaust, motor mounts, etc. so they would either travel to US and just have a friend hold them for them or found some good dealers, neverenoughauto, that would ship to canada fairly cheap. It does cost more though.

Even at ONLY $65 you can get it at a local dealer with no shipping costs -- helps if your local dealer will sell it to you for what you can get it on-line for -- mine did.

No its not that different. Just depends on the company most times.

Everybody that says it doesn't cost that much to send a front fascia -- it's obvious that you haven't tried to ship one. It hardly weighs much -- it's the size of the box that puts it into another category. Call the company you claim will ship it cheap and tell them the box is 30" X 36" X 74" and see what they quote.
