Cobalt vs SRT4

This isn't me.. is this one of you guys?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjQtTzYkNtQ

Anyway, I thought it was badass.. Stage 2 Cobalt with 2.8 pulley and Stage 2 w/ Toys SRT4. One of the guys I used to cruise with all the time always had a shittier and slower car than me.. haven't talked to him in awhile though and he's been pretty cocky about buying a Stage 2 (w/out toys I think) SRT4. This just shows that I should be able to pwn him if I ever get to race him. haha

I'm not sure that you'll be able to own him. I'd bet money on the fact that that stage 2 SRT-4 isn't running right. That video should have been the other way around.
Still a good race though. and a good win.

Pretty darn sure this is a repost. I've seen it here somewhere. All I'll say is that is a prime example of why you don't quote internet videos as proof of how fast a particular car is or isn't.

Okay, maybe not OWN, but BEAT. If this guy in the Cobalt's running a 2.8 and the other guy's got a Stage 2 w/ toys and that's all.. that's the same as the guy I'm looking to race. He's got a Stage 2 w/out Toys and nothing else to the best of my memory. I'll have a 2.7, ported blower, and downpipe over the Cobalt in this vid (as long as that's all he's got is stg 2 w/ 2.8).

Read the comments right please. In the video's comments it is clearly stated that the skittle isnt running properly and is only boosting 13psi when it should be boosting around 20 or so

Maybe it's running right and his boost controller is turned way down. That dial-a-boost that comes with the turbo toys can ratchet down the boost, from what I've seen it's a dumbed-down boost controller with four settings. The "3" setting is everything the turbo's got, the "0" setting is, well, lame. No clue what that guy was set to, but yes, a skittle only boosting 13 on stage 2... something's off.

Anyone with a Stage 2 SRT care to elaborate? I'm sure I missed something.

Ouch, well that's disappointing. Maybe I'll have to just up the ante with a turbo next summer haha. We'll see. I probably won't though, I'll just hold out for my LSA Camaro in a few years.

Here's something interesting though. Looks like the "Toys" package adds about 15 HP, 20 ft-lb over the "w/out Toys" package:

does anyone else ever notice that a lot of the time a race happens where the cobalt shouldnt win, wins? this happens very often, like by often i mean a lot of cars "aren't running right" or "have a bad driver." this happens way to much IMO.
