ok so i read an old post that was talkin about these and i noticed towards the end people started to post pics of their very own cobalt rev package

so lets see how many active members we have with the packages on them... i'll start things out

my 2008 yellow rev


i think i am the only one who still has a badge on the rear... the chev logo not 100% tho

 

special ed :P, there is a red one with grey stripes at the dealership i work at

 

i kno i kno im not braggin lol trust me by any means but its just what its classified as... puttin new wipers on a car nowadays classifies it as SPEC ED through gms eyes lol

 

You should sell it and upgrade to my SS/SC. 9k miles, fully loaded, G85, and you could put black stripes on it =P. I like the idea of the special Ed. package. Not to many around from what I understand.

 

i figured i am waitin a year or so for them to get the turbo ss's fixed then tradin this in on it... i got the package mainly for that idea alone... i mean its an lt. and all but people think its just stripes... for the price of a base model... after negotiating it to that point... i got the necessities.. abs limited wheels diff tires, sport cloth interior ebony... all black and silver interior pieces, the stripes, the spoiler, bodyside molding, and the lil pointless spec ed badge... its the idea of only 5500 were made... who knows how few were yellow, and then on that how even fewer were prolly 5 speeds... so im hopin to trade in in a year or so after the ss tc's are out and go from there.... whew alot said lol

Thats cool. It does make me wonder how long they will produce the SS/TC. If you think about it, 05-07 SS/SC then SS/TC 08-10 would be 5 years of the same body style. Didn't someone say in 09 the cobalt will change body style?

If they don't change them in 2009 I hope they put a different tranny in. Currently the same one as the SS/SC so I feel bad for anyone thinking the SS/TC is going to be able to put out alot more hp. Even if it can, the tranny will be limited

Just think though, if you would purchase my SS/SC you get one almost brand new. Will have the Recaro seats, fully loaded, rally yellow like you like. Already modded with only 9k miles.

If I end up keeping mine, I think black stripes are in order =D

 

I have a red one with silver stripes. Mine doesn't have the bowtie on the trunk tho; in fact I think yours is the first one I've seen with it. I have also seen a blue one with silver stripes, and a white one with black stripes in my local area...

got a dealership up the road from me that has this cobalt STILL sitting in their lot. these cars come to the dealership with the strips, or do the dealerships have to put them on? figure it was some type of gimmick from the dealership to sell the car, not a gimmick from GM. guess not huh.
