3in DP bad idea?

I found a CA 3in DP real cheap and im wondering if it would be a bad idea to run it on my car. I have the Honed manifold, GMPP Exhaust, and Stage 2 tune.

Does the DP taper down to 2.5"?? if it doesnt you will need to fab it up to attach to the gmpp catback, I have a ZZP 3" dp that tapers down to 2.5" and it bolts up greta to the GMPP catback and it gives decent gains

I just bought the Vibrant header/dp and I just measured it and it tapers down to about 2.5" (actually a little less) so that shouldn't have a problem hooking up to the GMPP. I've got both and I can't wait to get 'em on the car

you will have no problem running a 3" dp. its a great set up and perfect if your staged. just like the other posts stated. make sure the outlet can bolt up to your catback
