Wrecked the balt : (

Well today I was coming back from college and the drive is usually only 45 mins to an hour depending on traffic. Well I was about an hour and 45 minutes into my trip home when I did a boo boo. I was only going about 25 mph and the road was going down hill and turned left. I started to go down the road turned the wheel left and the balt just wanted to go straight. I down shifted but ran out of time I knew I was going to run off the road into a wire fence. I was trying to slow down but then at the end I slammed on the brakes, well I hit the fence. (if fence was not there, I would have been down a big hill into a field)

Some nice older guy pulled me out with a tow rope and I went home.

Overall there was a wire on top of my hood, one stuck under my hood, and one below the bumper. Luckly I did not hit the one of the post...came close though. All in all front end scratched up a lil, no body damage and I am ok.

I hate the snow.

First winter driving lesson I learned.....brakes make you go faster when you have no traction. Cut the wheel, let off the gas and wait for the tires to grab. I had to turn around in a cemetary once, but the road was covered in snow and ice, I came around a turn creeping along, slid out, freaked out, hit the brakes, shot forward and disturbed some old guy's eternal dirt nap. Worst feeling ever.

Good to hear you're OK.

Yea not a whole lot of damage, you got lucky. Least you didnt take your front end out or end up with an engine where your legs are supposed to be.
Drive safer in winter, and get Snows! I thought All-Seasons were good enough on my old car.. I put snows on my ss/sc and wow.. what a difference.

I didnt think of taking pics bc I wanted to get my car out of there b4 the cops were called. As I was on the phone with AAA the guy told me he would pull me out. Last night I worked some scratches out of the hood, but a good buff wouldnt hurt at all.

Also we had a mod day: Me, Fresh, and RedlinBlueline installed my sportlines, and we put a magnaflow catback on Fresh's ss/sc
