hid problems

hid problems

i ordered a set of hid off off ebay but i cant get them to work,i try in a differnt car and they work fine.has anyone had this problem or have any ideas thanks in advance db.

can you post pics of the hid kit you got? sounds like you might be havin a ground problem or a bad connection..

i'll get pix in a min it's just a generic set, but i tested the harness that plugs into the ballast and it has good power and ground. I also took that set and hooked them up to my buddies car and they work fine in his. any thoughts

HIDs drain a lot of power from the battery. Maybe your battery is weaker than the other two vehicles. Who knows?

Okay, so it plugs into the stock harness. I have a similar kit. Make sure the tabs inside of the blue plug are going to align the stock harness plug. Mine didn't match at all and I also received the same problem you were faced with.

i thought that to but i tested the other end of the harness that plugs into the ballast and i get 12v and ground.

(edit) and the high beam works fine

sounds like its just a bad connection of some sort.. kinda hard to give you any good info on that cuz im not there to look at it and see whats goin on though..
