my dealer knows nothing

i went into my chev dealer today to ask about the new cobalt TC. well long story short i ended up educating them about the car to there amazement. they claim they never heard a thing about this. so is this car coming to Canada or is this a USA thing only?. also another clue that my dealer is nuts. they want 900$ for a stage 2 kit.

The dealer is most interested in selling what's on his lot - right now.

I remember when I first test drove a Cobalt in fall of 2004, the dealer tried to get me to buy one right away - like NOW! I said, no, I'm waiting for the SS. Then he tried to get me to buy a Cavalier, which he had about 20 of at the time.

If You Want To Talk To Someone At A Dealer That Knows Whats Coming Out, You Need To Go Talk To The Techs

the techs were absolutely clueless today. i talked to about 8 different people in the dealership. it was depressing that a dealer would not know anything about there product. and no we only drive boats in the summer we have to drive beater cobalts in the winter LMAO

It's kinda sad how low GM's sunk with regards to dealer education. I remember when my dad was selling cars he had to go through all kinds of training material and take tests and all that fun stuff. Well, they still do out there but that's just how my grandfather runs the place it's not a GM thing.

Yea most dealers will try and push anything off on you and will not order a car for you. I called a dealer looking for a BLACK Cobalt and he tried selling me a blurple one from the previous model year. Umm, no blurple for me, thanks. But the dealer I ended up buying one from was more than willing to order me a HHR (my original choice) but I couldn't wait 4 weeks for it to come in so I got the Cobalt instead. So when I order my Camaro I'm most definitely going back to them.
