a couple teeny tiny questions

Hey guys, real quick..

1. I've replaced my bulbs in every car I've owned. Eurolite, APC, Sylvania, Nokya, Luminics.. They were all fine and eventually burned out at a normal rate. But the Luminics roasted my harness for the passenger side foglight! lol. Luckily I was going to the dealership anyway. They fixed it for free. I loved those bulbs. They looked amazing. But I can't blow another harness. Is there any way to prevent this 100% of the time, or was this just a freak thing? I ran the H11's as told to.. Aftermarket high power harnesses or something?

2. Steering wheels center cap. How do you remove it without destroying something? lol. And do any comperable GM center caps fit? I want to use the one from a Trailblazer SS. It's black with white SS's like our stock logo..

3. Progress rear sway. I've got the FE3 + a DC front strut. Would I be ok just adding the Progress rear with a stock front or should I upgrade the front too? What's the stock FE3 sizes again? And the Progress rear?

4. Harnesses. Where do you mount a normal 4 way harness? I've only seen a few people with them but never knew where to mount them. It seems like they'd be great for SOLO-II because the stock seatbelts are a bit flimsy..

** ADDED ** 5. My tires stock size is 205/55-17. On the Discount Tire site it said I could go "plus zero". It listed 215/50-17, 225/50-17, and 235/45-17. What would each of those do for me? Because if I just get the exact OEM size, the P6's are the cheapest set I can get. I've already have 2 sets of those. I want to change. The Falkens and Hankooks I mentioned I saw in the 1st one, the 215/50-17 set. Is this ok? What'll it change?
Thanks!!

Run HID's in the fogs, our fogs heat up so fast and i blew a harness to, but now i have HID's and they are low energy consumption so they dont heat up and i never had a problem since, and plus HID+our fogs are fight too. I love em

I would also like to know the answer to your Question 2.

As for question 3, I personally don't see anything wrong with just upgrading the rear, but i think you would see a greater gain if you did both. If its a money thing, I would say start with one and then save up for the other in the future (or just wait a little while to buy both at the same time)

Question 2, someone tried making sitcker overlays for the center caps or something i forget wat they were, but i dont think it ever happened. i think the plastic is attached to the leather on the steering wheel, thats how all steering wheels are when i look at them when the airbags pop.

I just heard that installing the front one is a total bitch, whereas the rear only takes like 10 minutes.. lol. I'll probably just wait until next spring. I'll be hitting the track alot next year, but not so much this year..

But yeah, how much are HID's? I love how they look, but always thought they were REALLY expensive..

They range anywhere from 100 to 300 bucks.

For EACH set? Like 100-300 for 9007's, and 100-300 for H11's? I'd want the ones that are really white with a tint of blue. The BMW look. A new Si at my school has them and it looks SO good..

Question 5 added!!

Ummm, that is probably 6,000K or 8,000K

I went extreme, 20,000K in Headlights and 3,000K in fogs. Love the look, but comon wheres the rants on my 20K's saying they are no good and are worthless.

ok here we go.

question 2. there really is no way to take off the center cap on the steering wheel. yes there were overlays before i think, but as for replacing with one from an impala or tbss, theres no way its happening. that little emblem is a part of the whole airbag assembly unit, which means you can just order the emblem part, you'd need the whole air bag setup, which is expensive. how do i know you ask? ive had to get mine replaced (long story, don't ask).

your stock tire size is 205/50/17, not 205/55/17. i have the falken ziex ze912's on my car now and they are great. awesome price too. i think the total shipped to my door was a little under 400.

dont waste money on hids in fogs either, your stockers are just fine.

So any tires that I get that are 205/50-17 will be the exact same dimentions as my stock P6's? The ones I saw where in the 215 series. what does that change? Or can I get the Hankooks/Falkens in my exact stock size? Paying 80 per tire is enough, I can't pay like 140 for other ones, and don't want to go for the P6's again..

my falkens were about 80 somethin i believe. changing tire sizes will change the accuracy of your speedometer/mileage slightly. any tire that is 205/50/17 will be the exact same dimensions as your stock pirellis.

So will the 215's be a teeny tiny bit taller of a sidewall? Is there any available in the 205's aside from real expensive tires? That's why I got the P6's last time was because they were the cheapest.. lol.

Hell.. Anyone know if RSX seats would fit into our floorboard? I didn't know if they may be too wide or anything.. I know you'd need to fab mounts though.. But I'd love the get RL/SC Recaro fronts, but they're quite hard to find and pretty costly as well..

Snaps. See, Tire Rack didn't bring those up. lol. Those look great. ANDDDD, they're 205's. I'd rather stick OEM sized if possible. I was gonna put s/c wheels on it, but I figured I'd be two steps forward and one step back putting those on after I put my lowering springs on.. Because the few inches the car would drop, it'd pop right back up with the bigger wheels..
