Mine started acting up right at 128,000 miles. The steering wheel gets pretty hard to turn and you get a message on your DIC which reads 'POWER STEERING' It would reset if I turned the car off and on. Took it the dealer, set an appointment and all taken care of

fuel leak recall

I dont understand why everything i read about this fuel tank recall on an 07 cobalt says its only a few states. Everything is closed so i have not been able to call a dealer. But what the hell does the state matter??? Still the same car with a leaking gas tank am i gonna have to pay for it sense im not in the right state or what????

Some recalls are a result of road salt, heavy moisture, cold/hot temperatures.

So for instance if the fuel leak is caused by rusted out fuel lines, then a lot of states in the drier arid areas like Arizona won't experience the issue like other states.

I think that is backwards for the 07' fuel line recall.....

It stated on my recall letter for cars in high heat areas is where u may encounter the fuel line issue. I will go dig it out and double check it, but I'm 99.9% positive that's the issue.

Yup... I was right... here it is:

They have begun releasing a new "special policy" for fuel tank and fuel line cracks. its not model wide yet, releasing in stages. "special policy" tends to be confused as a recall, its not a recall, just extended coverage.

Yeah had a fuel Leak issue few months back took to the dealer it's not a recall it's something with the warranty as long as ur cobalt is nothe older then 10 yes or over 150000 miles they replace my fuel tank and fuel pump and haven't had any issues with my 07 ss/sc since except for my maf sensor I think that's because I changed the stock intake to a 3in injen cai if anyone has any feedback on my maf sensor please message me it be much appreciated
