weird exhaust sound when acclerating

i notice my stock exhast groaning the last few weeks but now i got on it today and now it sounds like a exhaust leak in the front almost a whistle sound only when acclerating...can any one help?

yea but none that we could find

i think it may be the cat or flex pipe

my car is way past break in lol...maybe its a bad cat

start teh car, and hold something over the tailpipe. a towel or something similar will work well, bunch it up and stick it in the pipe and hold it. you should feel pressure building up, and if you let go it should spit out the pipe. so hold the towel back over the exhaust, then have someone get under the car and listen/feel for leaks. obviously you want to do this with the car cool so yo udon't burn yourself.

i already gave you the answer based on the info you provided. not sure what else you're looking for. if there's no leaks after you do the test i told you about, take off the downpipe and look at the cat to make the insides are still there and in good shape.

it works well because if there's a leak, covering the tailpipe will force more air through the leak making it easy to find.

yea come to find out its the resinator...time to buy a cat back now haha

pihole in the resinator makes a loud sound hahah
