Depends on your rev limit too. I get 70 in second, 110 in 3rd etc.. top speed is higher then 157 also

Same. I have hit 73ish in 2nd and about 114 in 3rd. I've buried the 160 speedo, so I don't know the top speed of mine.

Second goes a little higher than 62 on the stock tune. If I NLS into third I'm hitting 70mph easily. I realize the car will coast to a higher speed even during the shift, but I'd wager I leave second at probably 65+mph.

You have to watch to if your tuned because the speedo lags alot.

This is for stock tires and stock redline:

1st gear - 36
2nd gear - 69
3rd gear - 103
4th gear - 136
5th gear - 173

Like it was mentioned, you have to watch out because the speedometer lags alot in low gears.

You should be looking at the tach, not the speedo, to see when it's time to shift.

EDIT: Sorry guys, I fixed the spreadsheet for the correct tire size:

EDIT 2: See 2nd post.

I guess I kind of worded that wrong. I was just wondering the actual speeds. I know that the tach is the important part.

That spreadsheet is wrong.

The F35 MU3 in the 2008 and up cobalt SS with LNF has a 3.82 final drive not 4.05 which is the LSJ final drive. Also, the LNF stock redline is 6250 RPM.

I made the spreadsheet as a tool to see the relationship between rpm and mph for different combinations of tire size, final ratio, and trans ratios. I only got my cobalt a few days ago so I have yet to learn all the differences between models. If anyone wants to play with a copy of the spreadsheet, I can email it (since I can't post .xls files).

Im on stock tune and i always trap 103mph at the track, hitting the rev limiter right before the line.
Half time it say 104mph, but its probably 103...
