Yes this was one race from a roll... I find that RWD or AWD guys like to say roll racing isnt racing... To be honest it shows the true power of the car, not just who can get better traction in my opinion. I honestly don't race that often but this was just one of those times when it happened.

I have a buddy with a 2004 Z06 and he ran 12.7's and 12.6's w/ drag radials all night at the track here last season, that car was bone stock. He is a semi-professional SCCA racer with that car so I do find the 12.2 and 11.9 claims to be a bit generous, especially here in this area. I go to the track quite often and have never seen those numbers put down here.

I'm honestly not sure what this car is putting down for whp and don't really care all that much, it's my daily driver. I've got a turbo Cavalier that is the "race" car

As far as the Tibby goes she bought the car last spring bone stock. Now has a full Greddy cat-back, underdrive pulleys, CAI, Skunk2 lowering springs, B&M short throw, CF hood, CF eyelines, APR CF slitter, 18" rims and so on. I give her serious credit she helps me do every bit of the work on the car and every decision you see has been hers. It's a pretty quick, super fun car.
LOL, dont lie. Tibby's are not quick. Fun though is a good word. I'm just messing with you. Both cars look real good. I've always been a fan on the looks of a Tibby. I would have one if the performance would be better.

Thats really neat that your girl is into cars. Not many of them out there. I'm lucky to have a girl the same way. Hell, she even likes Star Wars too

do you even have an idea of what I"m doing to my car? and trust me .... once it's done. It will be faster...
550-600whp in a 2900lb car would be a bit faster than 505 crank hp on a 3300lb car.

I beleive ya Paul. Not to mention the power in those cars is nasty down low but flattens out top end... Once my Cav is done it should be putting down 450whp or so. I plan to be Z06 and Supra hunting in a Cavalier

Well I personally dont consider roll racing as racing because I think a race goes from stop to go with the drivers ability ALONG with the cars ability playing factors. And plus I have never seen a "roll race track" a Lebanon Valley or Englishtown before, haha. Im sure you're friend is a good driver, but 12.6 WITH drag radials? I see mid 12's all day long on the stock F1's. But hey, I give props where they are due, nice job on building a quick car.

how would i know what your doing to your car? i do recall some threads about blown motors and such....im assuming youll be doing this on a built motor with a decent turbo and some meth? <a guess>? maybe some spray also? its not easy to get those numbers, a lot of people say those number generously, but it is infact harder to believe because noone has stepped into the 400s as far as i know...?

Sorry man I missed the question. There's no thread or anything, i'm very new to this site. I've only had the car about 2.5 months now. I bought it bone stock and it has quickly progressed from there. I do all of my own work on all of my cars. As far as powertrain upgrades there is nothing right now. I have bwoody traction bars that will be installed soon and an ingalls. As far as axles go the stockers should be fine, i never drop the clutch on the car and dont really plan too. The clutch is new when I bought the car and seems to be holding well so far, I will likely upgrade it next year. The INTENSE stage 5 kit is decent but I bought it used from anothjer member on here for a good deal... I honestly wouldn't suggest buying the kit from INTENSE for what they ask, especially seeing their tune is terrible.

I see you went to HP Tuners.....what was bad with Intense's tune. Looking at the information on their website they seem to know what they are doing. I was thinking of going with the stage 4 kit.

i'll allow for Paul (06blackg85ss) to chime in on this one as he is the one who has been tuning my car From what I do know the Intense tune has quirks and the afr and timing are off, like I said Paul knows much more than I do.

I actually had HPTuners previously though because it is what I tune my Cavalier with, so it didn't cost me anything for the Cobalt except the credits.

From what I've seen the Intense tunes are pretty scary. I just personally didn't like what I"ve seen, that and the numerous motors that have blown up running them.
and btw you put in the meth setup yet man
