Yup, one week training on how to be a safe floorhand.
Yea, i was travelling back and forth almost twice a month with oilfield and such for a while. Lots of seat time in the old Caprice. And satellite radio a must! XM ftw!
My first oil drilling rig was just west of wetaskiwin. Then i went up to GP pipelining.

Oh I know what you mean! Even for short trips XM is a great thing. I've got an ExpressEZ in the Cobalt. I had a rig just across the road (just a small one) for sour gas, I believe. It's still out there, all they did was cap it after. It was out there for a good two weeks though, three years ago I think. There was a pipe line put in behind my place four years ago too. Makes it great because they cut through the trees so you can get to other fields sledding and quading really easy.

And you can spit through the walls so communication should be good! lol just kidding. I don't really know.
I stayed at a nice Ramada on the west end of sherwood park a while back, easy to get to, and only $120 a night...

I can check into each one tomorrow, and post up my results. I'll try to find the cheapest but still the cleanest that I can find. I know I would NOT want to sleep in a bed I can tell someone else has. And the room has to be in decent shape too. The heater can't suddenly start the A/C in the middle of the night when you want heat (like my ******* heater would do when I was in Vancouver in February... UGH!).
OH FYI... I'll be going of course, but I'll also bring my laptop with me & Trifecta data logging software.. so if anyone wants a Trifecta tune, we can get a group buy going!!! Depending on what the Canadian dollar will be like, Trifecta tunes will be available at $225 Canadian (of course) if I can get at least 3 people involved. Normal retail is $300 Canadian (CIA offers retail $300 USD non-group buy price!)
You should definitely post that over here: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show....php?p=3869192
That way we all can see it.
GREAT IDEA!
