9PM ....244 users ..... painful browsing

What is the deal with this site? Is 244 users too many for this place or what ? There were like 140 something.. registered users and over 100 guest's . Why not limit the amount of guest's when the server bog's down? Or maybe give premium members elevated priority over non paying members ? So we can at least browse the site we help support.

I just renewed (this month) my yearly subscription..... but can see why others have stopped paying . I mean really ....why become a Premium member???? 3/4 of the time i have to open another cobalt site........ just to fill the time of opening a thread on this one.

It's better today. It was horribly slow, yesterday.

I've been a premium member for years now-- and I am not renewing this year. I know running servers can be expensive, been there, done that-- but I've been on larger forums with more space that are up way more than CSS.net with a much larger userbase-- and there are no fees.

It just bugs me that I pay a bit to support the server over the years-- but we don't see any benefits of it.

Much love, CSS.net. I'm not going anywhere-- but until I see improvement in the way the server runs, I'll 'vote with my wallet' and just be a 'senior member.'

yea, that's the main reason why I stopped becoming a premium... that, and not for nothing, but god forbid you have to ask the mods or jonel a question... some are cool, but some think they're all high and mighty because they're a mod on a cobalt site lol. it's been better lately, but still, I can't imagine paying anymore to be a member on a site that on a daily basis doesn't work properly.

I would never become a premium member here, I find myself more than often unnecessarily waiting for pages to load just as slow as a regular member.

The few times I've tried to get onto the site this week, I only made it on twice. Of those two times, I felt like I was on AOL.

My decision to not renew premium stands.

I have voiced my concerns to the admin as well. Hopefully we can get a fix soon.

This is the slowest forums I have ever been on, and I've been on many.

Admins need to do something before users start leaving...

One of the big reasons i didnt renew my membership was the 30 seconds between searches. I assumed that would go away when i signed up for premium.

EDIT: the search function as a whole is useless. Try sorting your results by relevancy... it'll time out before it gets your results. And then people wonder why nobody uses the search...

I just signed up, so I don't know if it's been this slow for a while.

I don't mind 30 sec wait between searches, but the search query itself takes FOREVER.
