New alternative kit for HHR/Cobalt

With the current line up being out of the budget for many folks reviewing brake kit options TCE is working on a lesser cost alternative. The new kit will be based upon sound principals of similar kits for vehicles of this class. In addition to being a great value the option to add the new DP6 caliper to it makes it a fine kit for the Cobalt/HHR market.

While a couple weeks you yet on final production you can expect a list price- complete with two piece hats/rotors, calipers, pads, ss hoses, all the brackets, hardware to list out for about $850.

Sure, you can add the normal menu of options; alternate rotors, colors, alternate pads etc. The target however remains to compete with those who are simply purchasing oem replacement rotors, pads and hoses. I sincerely believe you'll easily find the added expense of a full and properly produced BBK to warrant the minimal additional expense.

Stand by...I'll have greater detail soon.

What make and model cobalt will this be for? and will this be like a big-brake kit for front and rear? Or upgraded to rotors for rear drums? Thanks.

Same as before; this is a FRONT ONLY kit sharing the same components as the early HHR platform. I've not done work on the later SS models or disc rear cars etc. to even begin to consider what is applicable to that set up. If you'd personally like to explore those options I'm open to ideas. You can however expect that we'll move rapidly into the $1300+ front and $1200 rear set ups if we include new rear calipers.

Sorry for the confusion. I'll cross the data from the HHR as quickly as I can.

Oh ok. I was getting the idea of a big brake kit for the 4lug cobalt and rear disc upgrades from drums. Similar setup to that of SSBC's kits but with better prices.

by the way you should put a link of your website or info in you signature. It helps for customers.
