My friend has been telling me that people have been having a lot of problems with their Redlines....Has anyone heard else heard anything about these cars having major problems? and do you think the Cobalt will have the same problems? or do you think my friend is just jealous because he drive an automatic base Eagle Talon?

What kind of problems has he heard of?

I've heard of a lot of SRT guys blowing engines (even stock!) but that's nothing surprising coming from the DC corporation.

RL people? Do you guys and gals have anything you want to share with the group?

i'd like to add that i've had some problems, minor gouging on the rotors, nothing major, the brakes still work, the trunk is scratching the bumper, getting fixed as we speak, and some people are having some cold start and/or hesitation issues when cold, but that's nothing more than a minor adjustment. so far nothing really major. one or two have had transmission problems, but it's not a regular occurance, and there was an issue with the camshaft position sensor gasket, but it's an easy fix.

all in all, for a new car i think there's less problems than i would expect. you guys wont have to worry about the hesitation issue, etc., as they've got a PCM update already (getting it as we speak). they've really taken an interest in my car, and have been really cool about it, i assume becase it's a new car and they want to know about all the kinks, which are few and far between.

I've had a few issues with my ION as well. All minor stuff and all taken care of. For the redline being in it's second year of production, I think it's doing well. I haven't heard of any 05 redline owners with problems yet either, so it's only the 04's with those minor issues. All in all, I think there's nothing to worry about.
