The oil seals had went inside the turbo which was no big deal but I had to send it out to get balanced which no one locally does, so I had to send it to Arkansas to get it balanced (this shop I found out about). They are actually shipping it out today and I'll have it in my hands by Friday and should be installed by Saturday.

This is another reason why people should get a Oil Pressure gauge...I believe the oil seals went because of too much oil pressure and could have been saved by purchasing a $14 oil line restrictor lol Hard lesson learned...

Also, thank you everyone for enjoying the read. If you see any mistakes or something that I should add, let me know and I'll correct it.

Good, this was the reason I wrote it up, alot of people have alot of questions of what they need or what they should do.

FYI: I'll be updating it in a day or 2 with some more information. I'll post when I do update it.

You're welcome

I know where you are coming from...it sucks to be afraid to ask a question in fear of getting "internet lynched" but this is another reason for me writing this up...there are alot of people who are interested but aren't sure how to go about it and what to get.

Like I said before, when I get bored at my job, I'll randomly edit it with reference links and some more information...I might even just break down some areas more in depth than I already did.

Again, if any of you guys are seriously curious about turbo setups and how they work and things of that nature, you can reach me privately (preferably AIM/AOL), just check my profile.

By the way, this wouldn't be my first sticky, I got 2 other stickies on the JBO forums (if you guys don't know me from there). Hopefully I can help you guys out some more if I get some more ideas for write ups that I can actually give you more insight on.

how much of that write up is going to change when referring to an MAF equipped Ecotec (05+ Cobalts/Ions) engine?

Where is your MAF located on the Cobalt/Ion?

The parts listed on the write up is what you need BUT the only thing I'm not sure on is your fuel system...so I wouldn't be able to 100% suggest an FMU. You might have to invest in an Standalone like a Megasquirt.

It looks like you guys are going to have to rib something up to have the MAF go inside the charge pipe...if you use a rubber piece holder, than you can a hole big enough for the holder so your MAF sensor can go in there properly.

The only thing that I'm still curious about if your fuel system...
