Mine are gapped at .25 out of the box. I was going to install them this weekend, but did not get that far. They will be in this weekend. I was thinking about installing them at .25. I talked to a couple other people that I know that have superchargers on big block and they tell to gap them between .20 and .25.

A blow off valve is made to prevent compressor surge, this is why turbocharged applications have them and centrifugal superchargers. Like said before, roots don't need a blow off valve because they already have a bypass valve.
By the way, a blow off valve is a bypass valve if you didn't know.
