You want to keep your warantee for a little bit? Or would you like to go hardcore 12 second car?

OK, get these.

1. GM stage 2
2. GM exhaust
3. GM Manifold

That will give you around 245-250whp and your warranty.

Like they said, it all depends on your goals.

But if you want to add more power, you'll want to start thinking about suspension mods. You'll have trouble getting stock power to the ground without looking into new mounts, or at least a torque dampeners.

I suggest the Intense transaxle mounts (~$100) and the Ingals ETD (~170) they have completely removed my wheel hop on stock power. We'll see if it comes back when I install my stage 2 kit this weekend

whatever your goal is, it'll change in a few days we'll go for a drive and see what you want when we're done.

Now would the dampener and the transaxle mounts void my warranty?

Like everything else with Magnuson-Moss they would have to prove that the parts actually caused the failure.

The dampener could be uninstalled in ~10 minutes if needed for warranty work. As for the transaxle mounts, I bet most techs wouldn't even notice them. At least the rear mount anyways, and the front isn't too hard to swap either, if you have the right tools.

I haven't heard of anyone having any major troubles with either yet though. However, some people have said they thought the added vibrations at idle from the mounts were too much for daily driving.

I personally don't mind them at all, and apparently after a couple thousand miles of break in they get a lot better. Also, I thought that the Ingals, smoothed out the vibes from my mounts a good bit as well. And also, if you get the GM stage 2 upgrade it will raise your idle speed a bit, which also reduces vibes.

All of that kind of fades away though when you realize you can stomp on the long pedal without worrying about wheel hop ripping your baby apart. That was a happy moment for me. I'll take wheelspin over wheelhop anyday.

Yeah wheel hoppin' was scary when I did it at first. But I rather peel out the acting like I have a hydralic system in my car.
