Header question.

Will the ZZP header work on a 2.2?

Is the coating protective against heat/rust, will it burn or flake off?

Any idea on gains it if would fit the 2.2?

Thanks alot...

I'm not sure if it will fit the 2.2l or not. However, the one that is labeled "Ecotec" header is not ceramic coated so it won't protect well against heat/rust and may flake. The "TOG" header on their site is ceramic coated and should protect well against those elements.

Well it says "High temp satin coating" so I was wondering if this would have the same affect as ceramic coating.

I also read on here somewhere that the TOG header was junk...

The high temp satin coating won't really help out with keeping it from rusting and excessive heat wear. The TOG I haven't really heard too much about at all. I know one member said it was good and another said it wasn't. So I'm not sure, I may actually be getting myself though.

Any idea on the size of the collector? Is it 3in like the ZZP? If so that would probably be overkill putting it on my 2.2 knowing the pipe with the cat isnt 3in?

I checked out my zzp and it still has the coating that they put on it and it hasnt flaked at all. The TOG had fitment issues but if you get the adapter flange it will work.

Yea the TOG header also has the 3in. collector. Allshot, how do you like your ZZP header and more so the downpipe? Sound quality? Performance?

Headers are about 7-10 HP and CAI are about 5-8 HP.

I like it alot actually. The butt dyno feels really good. The header and downpipe are raspy in the lower rpm range but once you hit like 4k it sounds really nice and deep. If you go WOT in second to redline it sounds like a beast. Id have to give ZZP
