Well I took my car in today (06 SS/SC) to have the sunroof fixed as it no longer closes all the way. I was supose to have it by end of day, but instead was told its all apart and wont be fixed till tomorrow. Atleast they gave me a rental. What was my rental you ask?

05 cobalt LS 2.2.

Now at first I thought this thing was gonna be a slouch. Boy was I impressed. This little 2.2 blew a few cars doors off today. Older sunfire, S10 pickup, and my bro's GF 05 Civic w/ VTEC.

It just kept putting car lengths on the civic. I mean, I had an SE-R 04 and IM sorry, but this thing feels faster then that. The civic above has a CAI too. My bro's girlfriend was filming, and she was in the cobalt, where my bro ws the only one in the Civic. I had extra weight and sorry bout the camera woman. She missed the dig race all together, and cut the other vids off early, but bottom like is the Civic never had a chance, the Cobalt PULLED EVERY and ANY WHERE we went from even a dig.

The hole time my bro was talking about how the Civic, was going to win. LAWL.

yea i tell you what my 2.2 has some seriouse pull.. my dad own the sedan and i first drove his and fell in love with the ecotec and thats why i went and bought the ls coup... from a roll it owns.. has awesome pick up. good to see than an SS/SC got to see we arent that weak.. lol

Yea I wasnt expecting it. To be honest, the reason I bought a cobalt SS/SC was because of a Cobalt LS. ORT will tell you LAWL. I had my 2004 auto sentra SE-R. I saw ORT (didnt know him at the time) and we proceeded to race. Bottom line is his Cobalt LS beat the crap our of my SE-R. Not by a whole lot, but enough to make me sell it within the next few weeks and buy a Cobalt SS/SC. Lawl. Funny huh?

im gonna change her oil in the next week, and some piping to the intake to make it a cold air!
put and exhaust, and throttle body spacer on it and then we are gonna go rent a 2.2 cobalt for the day and i will challenge you again!

nice vid.... i love my lt and think it has enough pull... ok, not really, but it's not that bad... it feels faster than it is too because of the nice torque curve... i love it!

 

I had one as a rental to. I could do burnouts with it. When I braught it back the lady checked every inch of the car but not the tires. haha dumb bitch. None the less I had lots of fun beating the **** out of one. Then they made a mistake of giving me a brand new Grand prix hehe.

 

its about time someone appreciated the car as much as us 2.2 owners. everybody else who gets one as a lease just bitches and complains about it. but nice to see you had a fun time man. maybe some of the races the 2.2 people win more of you will start believeing.

 

My car is still not fixed. its been in at the dealer for 2 days now because of the sunroof not closing. I guess I will have the LS for another day.

In my SS/SC I can never find races. This LS is a magnet for races LAWL. IM bout to buy one and Turbo it

Yeah, the 2.2L is definitely no slouch. Wish I had a decent digital video cam so I can get more action shots of mine.

 

i love my 2.2...i dont really think theres a civic in coquitlam that can beat me. at least not one that i have found yet.

 

I thought my car was **** till I had to drive a civic and a sentra, then I was impressed with the 2.2 but Im still not happy with it............
