Best way to clean Recaro Mesh?
I got some stains on there and am looking for a good wait to clean them that won't fade the grey or get all crusty on the layer of fabric underneath.

I used a sponge and some windex on mine. Did'nt mess them up or nothin. What's the stain?

lol windex.....i thought i was the only one who cleaned everything with only windex. somehow it just doesn't seem right

I had a bad stain from spilled tire cleaner on my seat. When the car was at the body shop they did a full detail job and got it out perfectly. I am curious to what they used, I might stop over and ask.

I had a small stain that "look like a water stain" - turns out it was from a french fry, ie "grease"

I've used carpet cleaner for the headliner in other cars, not sure how that will affect the Cobalt but I imainge it would work.

I used 409 on the headliner to get dirt and grease out. Worked like a charm and didnt discolor

like said above a good ol steam cleaner will work or you could get some tuff stuff carpet cleaner or order some fabric stuff off line form a detail site.

I have used Du Pont Teflon Carpet and Uphulstry (sp?) cleaner on my carpet (gum, grease), mesh on recaro's (grease), and on the headliner (BBQ sauce... dont ask), and have NO discoloration, and worked very well.

Lol you guys aren't the only ones. I clean all my swords with windex before applying oil on them. Windex removes the old oil and it doesn't form rust or anything, besides the fact that it evaporates quickly.
