GMPP honed manifold vs. others

How does the GMPP Extruded Honed Manifold compare to other headers/manifolds? Is it pretty much the same as far as hp gains go? If I am going to mod the car then going with GMPP is prolly the way I am going to have to go bc my wife doesnt want to void the warranty. Is this the only thing they offer as far as headers or manifolds are concerned?? Thanks for any input. Dustin.

they shouldnt void your whole car warranty for an aftermarket header unless the can prove that some failure you want them to cover was directly caused by that header.

Seriously, spray will ssoooo void the warranty. If you spray buy a JBP header, if you want to keep the warranty, go GMPP highflow. It is the only thing GM offers that wont void warranty. Good piece, very good price! There are more performant headers out there, but warranty will prob be voided by it, not everywhere, but most will places will void your car's warranty.

running the GMPP header will get you out of getting a "fix-it ticket" for having an aftermarket header.

in CA, we cannot do a damn thing from the cat forward...cant even use a aftermarket cat...must be OEM or "no pass" on visual smog inspection...

I havent tottaly decided on spray yet. I have the kit already but a 50 shot is not out of the question. If something were to happen that obviously wasnt cuased by the spray, then I will take it off before I take it to the dealer. A header is a little harder to take off if I gotta go in for warranty work. If they dont see the nitrous kit on the car, then how can they prove it?? I appreciate ure concern, however, everything else that goes on the car is probably going to be GMPP.

I'd go GMPP if I was you. Then later on, if u want real performance and void ure warranty, get the JPB cam, hook you NOS and go hunting for SS/SC's....
