That's more of a trim. Shaving it would have been taking all the badges off. Nice car though. I did the same thing except I moved the "supercharged" bar over under the SS badge, so it matched the rest of the car and wasn't just sitting on the other side of the trunk by itself.
Looks sweet . I had mine like that for quite awhile . I took the supercharged badge off a couple months ago so Im just left with the Cobalt SS .
