09 SS Coupes

Does anyone have any info/rumors about when the 2009 SS COUPEs are going to be available. We are nearing the end of our purchasing decision as a family (Car for me) but my folks are tripping out on the fact that we are going to be buying an 08 so late in the year. If its only going to be a few months, I would rather wait and drp a few extra dollars to have a 09 coupe.

Any info appreciate.

you will get better incentives buying an 08 than an 09. You can order an 09 and get it in a couple months but there aren't any major changes, just bluetooth, RPD and no spare tire

Should start showing up in dealers in Sept according to 2 dealers here in Ohio. I bought the 08 with incentives.

I heard of no spare if they just put run flats on. Like the toyota mini van had this, run flats. The owners were pissed when they found out after they had to pay like $1000 to replace tires. HAHA

No spare tire, just a tire sealant and inflator kit. And I also forgot to add the USB port on the radio.

It is an option($85-$100), ZAH: Spare Tire and Wheel.

And in this country spares aren't required. The Corvette doesn't have a spare. Neither did the Grand Prix Gxp's.

My car=no spare either. No rules or regs as to weather you get one or not.

Do it! Not only do you get the rebates, but you also avoid the price increase on '09's!

For those reasons alone, I am very glad I got an 08.

My family just gave the final word and we are going this friday (August 1st) to put a down payment/order (we have to dealer trade around Michigan cuz my local dealer has none). The one question my mom had for me was the follow;

This September or whenever, which is only like a month away dee dee dee, when the 09 coupes become available, will there be any rebates/incentives on them initially. Because if I can get an 09 for only like 1500 more, then that is worth it because of depreciation on a "new" 2008 coupe. I am assuming there wouldn't be any 1500-2000$ cash back on the brand spanking new 2009 SS coupes this early fall?

I doubt there will be a rebate on the cars right away. Honestly Im surprised there is one on the 08s. At least here in Ohio they are sold within a week or 10 days of arriving at the dealer. Its not as if they are sitting on the lots for months.

I took the rebate and got an 08 SS. The different display wasnt worth it to me.

Yeah, I wasn't worried about it, I am all set for getting an 08. I don't care about that new display. It was mainly my mother, who is helping me out with the car who had the concerns, mainly about incentives and depreciation. I told her that these 08s just recently became available over the past few months and are late model releases. Thanks for the uber fast responses miller and company !
