Which year ? I'm a big fan of Camaro's ..... especially 1st and 4th Gen's . I'm guessing you went with an LS1 car ?

 

^^^no, i got a 95, i figured id try to build up an lt1, i know ls1s are better, but i didnt have that much to spend

Nice.... I bought a new 95 Z28/ 6sp back in the day . My personal best was a 13.6 with a cat delete , intake , and catback . My car was a stripper thou.... roll up windows / no T's and cloth seats ..... only option was AC and cruise lol.

I stomped my buddies 96 SS Camaro bad .... he had trouble breaking into the 13's with it ..... and my other buddies 96 Cobra , he went 13.8-9 IIRC . I honestly had more than 200 passes on her without one issue . Hell..... i sold it in 03 with the original back brakes on it .... didn't have to touch them for 90K miles hehe.

I had alot of fun with that car and back in the day they were pretty stout for what was out there ..... until the LS1's came out .

i used to have an 01 z28 auto, my best time was 8.50 stock

 

and i ran 9.3-4 with this new one the day i bought it, i need to learn to drive this one better

 

My brother bought a 00 Z28 and him and I did alot of racing at the track together ..... he got his into the high 12's stock ....12.99@108 IIRC ... we tested the LS1 VS Lt1 one thing quite a bit .

He could launch his car at almost 4Krpm Vs my 2200 rpm . Seems the LT1's put their torque out lower in the powerband than the LS1's . His car really transfered compared to mine .... it would squat where mine would blow the tire off. We used to be fairly close till 3rd .... then he would check out on me .......bad lol. I loved 3rd gear in his car ..... it really pulled like a bitch in 3rd for some reason.
