2008 Turbo Cobalt Upgrades?

That the cat is out of the bag and it's official there will be a ss/tc cobalt in 2008. Hopefully my 07 SS is worth something because im trading it in the second the turbos are available. The question that most runs through my mind is with a stock 260hp/ 260tq will there be upgrades similiar to the stage 2 and stage 3 for the supercharged balt? And on a side note the 38mm brembos are a sweet addition to the new ss rims.

are sure there will be some upgrades soon after sales start to boom. But you may want to enter question into another thread thats already open. There's like 5 threads on the new balt already

you gotta have engine avaliable to the aftermarket before they can actually make anything for the aftermarket. gotta have some patience

think he was mainly talking about GMPP, i'm sure they'll have at least 1 stage kit.

funny thing is, I was talking to Mike from New Era Performance (one of the supporting vendors, and local shops) and he called this whole LNF thing about 6 months ago, he already seemed to know for a fact the cobalt was going turbo and the pcm was changing, according to what he said back then, is the pcm is really hard to change, it works well as is, but doesnt sit well with changes

im sure HPT will have a field day..

How much do you think the brembo kit would cost to upgrade my car?

i think TurboTechRacing is getting on the aftermarket ASAP, once they get their hands on a LNF they will go ahead and make aftermarket

Someone stab me in the ******* eye

The car isn't even out and you want to know what aftermarket or upgrades will be out for it?

Does anyone see anything wrong with this?

i have a serious question. why would u trade a supercharged cobalt in for a turbocharged? i mean to me im tired of hearing a blow off valve going off every where i go. i love the whine of a supercharger and not every single car out there has a supercharger. i mean ur getting more power out of the turbo but im just saying i hate the blow off valve sound. cant stand it. believe me people turn their heads when they hear the supercharger whine

this is not as bad as the people that were giving HP NUMBERS for the stage kits that are not out for the car that may or may not even have stage kits

i personally like the supercharger mainly b/c of the fact i can drive it around without people knowing im supercharged. i've had people mistake my car for a 2.4 ss all the time. hell i had a sprayed civic claim he could beat me. then when we got to the line. he purged and to his distress i purged lol. so he got out of the car and said he wouldnt race unless i didnt spray. so i said ok and disconnected the line at the bottle. so we go and i won 50 bucks. he was quite surprised to fine out i had a supercharger. i love the whine.

Exhaust and Intake mods will help with power but tuning direct injection isn't the easiest thing in the world.

Tuning for the Redline Sky and Solstice is 1200 dollars

agreed, while everyone is entitled to their own opinions i will never buy another cobalt again. Sorry if you guys want something that will really run and you like the 4banger scene why don't you get a gxp or sky. At least the major problem is already taken care of rwd. i'm sure it will be cool but i will not fall for this gm cobalt bullshit again sorry. BTW don't mod it gm will say FU when you need warranty work with your performance car that apparently should never be taken to redline.
