Yeah kinda reminds me of the iphone. Each year the display will get smaller and sleeker with some improvements. Will suck us into buying the new "i-balt" each year.

so your saying people will be sucked into buying a new cobalt every year because of slight modifications done to the RPD?

It is really easy to stay outta boost and be efficient. Just got back from a nice drive and according the the g meter I hit .95 lateral g's on a nice right hander on to Woodward!
I can take an educated guess at the deal you got before and cash back offered by your dealer.

Seeing as the current deal is GME pricing for all, that should be 21,740 with the options you got you should be around 23,400 before tax and title. Unless you got a crazy deal.

Side question: help me know the future, is it more painful to: A) Be on pins and needles at work waiting for your car to come in, or B) Be on pins and needles at work waiting to get out so you can drive your new ar.

Have fun out there!

Well, currently, my lil college internship-procured job involves me visiting insurance agencies in a tri-county region. Needless to say, my job has me DRIVING all over the place

Whats even better... I get 58.5 cents for every mile that I do drive to cover gas/wear n tear

My office will literally be the inside of my Cobalt SS!!!!

So for me, waiting for my ride to come in (And I have not had my order in nearly as long as others)

I've been working a job in some capacity since I was 14 and the 'rents picked up the bill for college. I'm also cheap and don't like to spend money, so it works out well.

There is NO WAY you can get an 09 for that price out the door.

IDK about that. My deal got re-worked about a month after I bought the car. Long story short, they couldn't get me 0% on my loan like they promised. But, they did 'find' $3K in rebates that they could offer to make up for the interest I had to pay as a result of their screwup. In the end, I got the car out the door for ~19.3K with rebates and GMS pricing. And with GM's promo of Employee Pricing for Everyone going til 9/2/08, there's a chance that someone else can get a similar deal.

Dude, watch the olympics tonight. You'll see the commercial they rolled out to us a couple of days ago on site here at GM. Then, come back and tell me you're sorry for being an ass.

Those rebates are only on trucks. Trust me, I work on the advertising materials for this stuff. There are NO rebates on the 2009MY Cobalts.

OK, so maybe I'm the ass. Either way, I heard them talking about it on the radio this morning and they were saying employee pricing + lease pull ahead + rebates. Then again, they were using a Trail Blazer in their example.

Is the $660 in delivery what makes the Chevy website report $21,649 as the GME price?

Which is a good thing , employee pricing and huge rebates are nice on the surface ...but the dark horse hear is they DESTROY the retail value of the car u just purchased .

Congrats on getting your car man , the new Silver Ice looks sweet . I guess I will need to see this color in person to see how Silver Ice differs from USM .

So there was no rebates on your 09? Is this the case for any 09 SS/TC or just because you ordered yours?

If this is the case, I'm very glad I canceled my 09 order and got an 08 off the lot with $2,500 in rebates...

Well of course you arn't going to get any rebates on the 09 until this time 1 year from now. They only really discount the outgoing model year, not the upcoming.
