I bought my 2nd LNF about 3 years ago and about 3 weeks later my intercooler blew out. I got an intercooler from zzp and mailed my bcm for a tune based on the parts I knew it had. The car had a tune, which I was leary about. It was on stock maps and around 28lbs. I figured I'd get zzp to tune it since I was unsure of the existing one it had. I rode that tune for about 2 years and then was told that a patch tune wasn't reliable and that it should be remote tuned. I found a company I believed seemed to know the platform. We started the remote tune and after the first data log he asked me what I knew about my car. I told him what I just told you and he said from the data he was seeing that it was drawing too much air for a stock K04 and tuned it accordingly. He upped the boost from 22ish to about 26lbs. He claimed the zzp one was good, but unnecessarily too fuel aggressive. I'm not saying it's true or not, just replaying what happened during the tune. He claimed he had never seen a car that ran as smooth and had such good airflow and that there was virtually no knock. We finished the tune and everything seemed ok. I took it to work the next day and did a 2nd gear WOT pull in my works parking lot and it pulled great until about 5k and the power just died out with a slight popping sound. I've been chasing what I thought was an electrical issue since. I've replaced everything from the coils to the maps to the manifold solenoid. Since that day it's symptoms are intermittent lean at idle, esc active when I accelerate hard sometimes, hard shifts, murky coolant in the reservoir and now I just found that oil is leaking into the air intake tune and seemingly onto my undercarriage.
Are these indicators that my turbo seals maybe blew out that day? Do those symptoms confirm it to be bad? Does this normally happen after 40k and a retune? Should I put a stock turbo on and retune? Or find out which one is on it and get another mailer tune from zzp?

Who was the 2nd tuner and what turbo did you figure out you had on there? The guy who tuned me would never up the boost or do anything unless I requested it and that's after he would let me know the pros and cons to it.
You definitely have an issue somewhere. Does it smoke at idle or is it heavy smoke when you get into boost?

No he told me he was doing it, he said he downtuned It. It was a tuner from a company in Arizona. Though the guy who tuned it wasn't the guy I thought was going to. I would say there's smoke at idle. I've never paid attention to smoke while boosting, honestly.
I still haven't figured out what turbo it is. All I know is it does have the stock flange. I wasn't sure how to tell without pulling it out, but wanted to make sure it was bad before I did. Unless there's another way to tell
