Wow, didn't think this would spur such a big response. It's great to know there are enthusiasts of all ages (mine included) out there.
Call me crazy, but as the 09 sedan was a one year one off, adn they only built less than 500 of them, could they be a minor collectible some day?

If you have the big wing, like I do, it does make it harder not to feel a little funny sometimes.

Another "seasoned veteran" (50) checking in (30 ish.
I started looking for an economical fun car with a warranty back in '06 so I wouldn't have to drive the work truck everywhere. When I saw what the SC and others were capable of I kept thinking of my old GTO/TA's. I'm not "rich" but I certainly could have spent more on a DD-for me there was no reason to.
It's also paid for and my insurance is cheap

I have a 2009 Tint Coat Red SS Sedan. At 39, I am of course not the intended audience for the coupe, but probably was in the wheelhouse for the intended buyer for the 4 door. Married, with a kid, need 4 doors, but still like a little fun with my daily transportation.
The sedan didn't work out, and the body style only lasted for 1 year. According to GM Tuner source, there are only 68 red tint coat SS's in existence. So, other than myself, the car didn't do to well reaching its audience, despite all the car mag's raving over it. Of course, there were other reasons at GM that the car didn't last, but that's a topic for another day.
So my question is this, who are the other 449 other people that bought the SS 4 door? Am I the oldest? Did the car reach any of its intended demographic, or were they scooped up by 20 somthings that also thought it looked better than the coupe? Maybe I am "grandpa" on this board?
Enjoy the summer and your SS's.

I went 2009 sedan instead of 2010 coupe because my sales guy said told me to look at the coupe, and then said two words to me... "chick car".
He showed me the sedan, still new on the lot in May of 2010, and I was sold!
It may be a more sensible car in the beginning for us older types, but then again look at my sig. She's anything but sensible nowadays...

Ugh....hum.....I'm 51, but I don't feel it. I love little fast cars. I used to drive huge land-yachts when I was a teenager, Lincolns, Cadillacs, Imperials, giant Buicks and Pontiacs, 440, 455, 427, 390, 428, 460, and 500 cubic-inch V8's.....ahh, those were the days! Cheap gas and tons of torque. Going down the freeway at 80 mph and 1,200 RPM!!
When I first got my drivers license, gasoline was .65 cents a gallon.
