Arm Rest
Arm Rest
I'm sure this has been covered and discussed a million times, but I couldn't find any old posts about it. Does the GM armrest, part #19157354, fit the 2009 Cobalt SS? It states only for cars equipped with an automatic transmission. I want to make sure before I order one. Thanks for your help.

how would it mess with the shifting, its no where near the shifter. when i shift i have the upper half of my arm between the rist and elbow resting on the arm rest at all times. feels so comfortable and natural

i got one too on manual, its great, kinda sucks how it comes with kind of a rubberized top, so yea probly get that leather cover too but its no big deal. best mod yet
Yea it doesnt mess with shifting on my car however i do have to pull the ebrake up past where the armrest sits to get it to fully engage, its been like that since i got it but i just need to tighten it up

I drove this 1 car years ago that you would hit your elbow on it shifting into 2nd, 4th, and reverse. It was just annoying.
Hello Yellow Jacket,
Looks like there's been a lot of great feedback already for your question. Where are you ordering your part from? It might be worth checking out gmpartsdirect.com - I searched that part number and it was less than $70.
Best,

I recently installed one in my car;
I'm on the fence - it kinda feels out of place...
I might sell it.
but it definitely does work.
you have to virtually remove your console to get the mounting bracket in place - just a "heads up".
I would encourage you to buy from Crate Engine Depot;
Why would i suggest this?

- they support this website, other related websites..
- they have a flawless reputation with shipments - gmpartsdirect doesn't (plus they will not ship to Canadian addresses - something I found out before learning of CED)
- because Tom @ CED is an absolute pleasure to deal with... and they list this at what $76(!?)

but I wouldn't advocate using only two of the four mounting bolts...
how's this;
Correction:
If you intend to do a proper installation, be prepared to virtually remove the console
