Back into an LNF!!!
Hi everyone,
Just wanting to share that I'm back into an LNF again. If most of you recall I lost my Cobalt SS/TC back in 09 on a freeway incident. I really missed that car and everything about the power, chasis etc. After the SS/TC I got a VW Jetta GLI 2004(the rebound as I called it). Modded it with all bolt-ons and it just still wasn't anything like the power I had before it. So after being patient and looking around I finally was able to find, what I think is the deal of the century. Its a Saturn Sky Redline from 2007 that ONLY has 1,739miles on the odometer. Bought it from a Private owner, 85 years old and the original buyer. He only used it on holidays and special occasions. Got it for 22k. What do you guys think and any Redline owners, please chime in. Still got to rid of the VW Jetta GLi now, essssshhh can't pay for 2 cars for long. Any suggestions for mods are well appreciated.
Tune is my first one, getting that done tomorrow.
Any suggentions for naming my car??? I was thinking of RON, Ron Burgandy was the name of my SS/TC(miss that car)

The strips are vinyl and can be taking off, I really don't like them much either. Their a little pricey cause you can get a TC for 15k, but I just wanted to dip into a RWD vehicle. I have owned FWD since I started driving.

Just got this car today!! Woot!!! Lets meet up. I get underway this coming week for Seasquat, gotta shoot them missiles bro lol.
The car is a 5 speed manual. I don't believe in auto unless your bracket racing.

The library of cars this guy has own since the 40's is just amazing. He has a placard of the Pantara dealership stating that he own it and the authenticity #, Jags, Model A Fords and the rest was custom work. He was a paratrooper in WWII, has been married with his wife for 62 years. I tell you, the history that this man is and knows was a treat.
He said to me while test driving the car yesterday "There's nothing like driving a car and knowing that valves, springs, pistons, bearing, tranny's are all working together to keep my heart going" " Its just my time though and my last days are here, can't drive the car anymore but hopefully you'll take care of her"
Tell you what I would love this guy as my grandpa.
