Are all the badges on the car (SS, Turbocharged, Bowtie, and that little GM logo near the doors) held on by the double sided tape? Do any have holes drilled behind them? I want to remove likely all of them, but I don't want to find any surprises....

Ok, thanks.

Yeah, I figured I'd ask because my last car was a '01 Grand Prix GTP and I wanted to take off the door trim (that runs across the center of the door/rear fender) and I got a few inches in to find a dowel shaped part on the trim that runs into holes in the body...was not impressed lol.

gas works 1000 times better than goo gone, just have a wet rag next to it because leaving gas on ur paint isnt a good idea

and be careful with the fishing line

I've debadged two of my last cars no problem...

I guess i should ask, what is the BEST method for removing that stupid dealer sticker? I should have told them to not put it on!

With the dealer sticker, all I did on my last car was peeled it off with my nails and it worked fine. Guess I'm gonna have to debadge my car tomorrow since it's just sticky stuff and not holes, LOL. But do I necessarily need the blowdryer and floss?

I used bug and tar remover to get the mounting tape off of my car. I find that it works way better than Goo Gone.

My method is usually to go behind the badge with floss (or fishing wire, be careful) and use goo-gone to remove the sticky stuff. Make sure to wash the goo-gone off immediately after...then wax after completion. I've had good results on my last two cars.

I guess I might give the sticker a try...had a hell of a time with one car though...pissed me off.

Using a hair dryer, while not required, does certainly help a lot, especially in cold weather. The warmer the adhesive tape is, the easier it'll come loose.

I found a place called 24design.net that has a bunch of different custom bowtie emblems for the cobalt. But, I also heard they look rather cheap. I'll probably just paint mine too.
