Better deal than $2500 below invoice?
Better deal than $2500 below invoice?
Kind of looking into a new 4 door fun car. I've looked at the Civic Si sedan, Mazdaspeed3, and a used 04 Mazda6 V6 5 speed. I've had a bazillion cars, but my latest, a 99 Trans Am, I've had for two years and am ready to be more practical for my kids' sake. That and I'm tired of dealing with tuning, issues related to mods etc. Hint to anyone who hasn't realized this, when you mod your car, you will be rewarded with new problems.
I really enjoyed my 06 GTi 6 speed manual years ago, but the wife hated it. She has always hated hatchbacks (except the MS3). My problem is no one near here has a white SS sedan, much less with limited slip as the only option I would want. A place in Woodbridge Virginia has a bunch of SS sedans, I'm in Raleigh NC. Any help in pointing me to a dealer who really wants to get rid of one is appreciated. Both the Honda and Mazda dealers here have always treated me great and I've gotten fantastic deals from both. Heck, I bought a 06 Mazdaspeed6 for $9000 off the sticker!! Thanks for any help and thanks for a cool site. I'm a member of quite a few now, hard to keep up.

Call me whatever dick. I was a car salesman for 2.5 years with Dodge and Chrysler and got beat up nearly every deal. If American manufacturers didn't have unions and overpriced requiring rebates, they might not be where they are. Not to mention kickback bonuses GM gives upon reaching monthly objectives. When you have bought cars for $9000 off MSRP, you kind of feel like I do.
I got mine for $9000 under MSRP, but that was probably the cobalt deal of the year... Try and get whatever you want to. Always shoot much lower then what you actually will pay for the car, that way you have something to negotiate.
