Bnr k04-gt28
works for me. i may just hop on the screaming deal i was offered then and just get the stage 1 later.
how hard is swapping out the stock turbo? i may be going to durastic measures but if something dumb goes wrong (not caused by me) and i need warranty work done, id prolly go thru all the work of putting the stocker back in and flashing to stock to avoid trouble.
if it was my fault (me being stupid) ill be straight and pay up

when im not on my GMS1 tune and I have the byt tune on, (361wtrq) my clutch juuust starts to slip / hesitate when im on it. On GMS1 its fine. I would def get a clutch WAY before anyone thinks about a turbo swap.
Yes, that's correct as stated on their website.
That's what I'm leaning towards also, the 2860 upgrade. I'm assuming you'll need the basic mods to support this too, namely a cold air induction, 3" downpipe, better IC and charge pipes. I have everything but the IC, looking at getting the MPx.

Go to the BNR Supercars website and click on the GM Products link (ignore the sub-menu that pops up). Scroll down to just below the photo to the "Solstice, Sky, Cobalt SS, HHR SS" link and click on that, tada, you're there. Lots of good info and pics on the website.
BNR LNF Stage 1
The stage 1 is a BNR GT2860 non ball bearing CHRA that is fitted to the OE turbine and compressor housing. Garrett rates this turbocharger to flow 370 BHP. You still have the use of the factory bypass valve and wastegate actuator. The stage 1 is 100% bolt up with only the inner water line to be modified. If you already have aftermarket parts such as a down pipe or aftermarket air intakes, no worries, all the parts will bolt up to this turbocharger upgrade!
BNR GT2871 Stage 2
The BNR Stage 2 for the LNF cars is equipped with a 400 BHP BNR GT2871 non ball bearing CHRA (center housing rotating assembly). The LNF K04 turbine housing is machined for the GT28 CHRA. The stock compressor housing flow rates are maxed with the stage 1 CHRA. The stage 2 compressor housing has a larger volute/air passage allowing for the increased volume of the stage 2 CHRA. The stage 2 is not 100% bolt up. Since the compressor housing is upgraded, there is no longer the built in bypass valve.

Hey, I just quoted a summary from the website. I'm not affiliated with BNR. There's more info and details on the website if you go look or you can email them if you have specific questions like I've done. They have been quick to patiently answer my lame questions by email so far.
Hey Dart SI, I looked on their website again and this might answer your question about the coolant line. Sounds like it's a minor issue and they provide the hardware to fix it.
Our custom BNR GT28 center housings are made for this particular application with the correct oil feed thread pitch, oil drain bolt pattern and correct coolant service port thread pitches. What this does is allows all the original hardware except for 1 water line to bolt up without any issues. Since the coolant ports are on opposite sides on the BNR CHRA (center housing rotating assembly), there will be a banjo fitting and coolant hose that is supplied with the turbocharger upgrades.
I emailed him a few times now. My replys are promising. He can build the turbo and then send it to you for an additional $300 on top of the $950. Im guessing to get the $300 back you just send your core to him after you get the turbo.
