i have a 2010 cobalt ss and im kinda considering getting a bov. I think you need a tune for it to run right though. Am i correct about needing the tune?

or should i just keep the factory bpv with my k&n short ram? Its fine now its just a bov is alot louder. At low pressure a bov as the same volume as a bpv and high pressure.

have you considered the Forge BPV with an intake? The combo of those two make a good difference in sound

like how much difference? ya im kinda thinking that a bov is a waste of money. I hear that a bov has a negative impact performance wise.

Meh performance is a on and off topic. as for the difference in sound...youtube should have comparisons. I think there is a member on here named GDubs that did a video comparison and review of it. ill see if i can find it

You can't really tune for a bov, there's no parameter that you can change that will fix metered air being vented. However if you relocate the maf after the bov and get a tune you won't have any issues, the tune is needed to adjust the maf to its new location.

Or u could just recirculate a bov and not have to tune at all. But then it would be quieter than a normal bov.
