bpv?

Ok well here is the problem .

I start my car leave applebees and I'm just driving I go to floor it...nothing...
No boost at all...

I shut the car off turn it on everything is fine
No codes or anything
Did a couple of pulls before after a turn off and on and running perfect like a beast

Was thinking it could be crappy stock bpv. Any input please because I'm about to buy the forge bpv I have been wanting to buy it too.

Opinions please

Take the bpv apart and inspect it, no point in adding another mod unless you figured out what's causing the problem.

Do you have the GMTU? If so then like has been said so many times before check the lower TMAP in the coldside pipe and the connections; sometimes at WOT it'll hit the A/C condenser and cause you to lose boost for a second. If you don't have the GMTU then take a look at the wastgate actuator. At least that's where I'd start.

Had the same thing happen after switching from Forge unit back to stocker prior to a dealership appointment. Kind of leads me to believe it's bpv related-sticking from hot weather perhaps. They cleared a few misfire codes and all is good after a few days with stock piece.
If you wait for a code to set you might have a better idea what's up(bpv/MAP/etc.)

try cleaning your Maf or your manifold sensor, and also check your wiring by the compressor. When it happened to me, i bypassed the vaccum tank and its normal now, so mine was probably leaking, I also lubed my bpv and now my flutter went away so it was probably getting stuck

Well we don't have a MAP sensor we only have a MAF and mine is most likely shot would that affect boost levels tho because that sensor tells how much air should go into the car and was thinking if it was bad the car doesn't know how much air to take and it could be taking too much?

We actually DO have a MAP sensor. p0106 is MAP-related.

08-10 ss's have 2 map sensors as well as a maf. Autopart store employees generally are lacking in auto knowledge. They may know one or two platforms but mainly go off what the computer tells them. Learn YOUR car especially if your modding it

If u look straight down the left side of the cooling fans you can see it on the lower charge pipe. There's a vacuum line hooked up right next to it. Make sure that the splice they did is solid. If that all looks good pull the sensor and see if if its got oil on it. U can try cleaning it with maf cleaner and clearing the code or just replace if you'd like. Call CED to get a replacement

The Bosch sensors are the upgraded Stage 1 sensors. The MAF is on the intake tube between the air box and turbo-I'm going to try cleaning mine to see if it helps. Asanti pointed out other possible issues as well.

And CED = Crate Engine Depot

Good luck
