The 08s haven't showed up around here yet, but I'm giving it a few months. The premium cloth seats are supposed to be awesome, but m'lady wants leather seats, so I'll have to see if they bring those back too. That and I've always been told never to buy a first year car; bugs, kinks, improvements, etc.

i was thinking of waiting but the interest rates would be so high here in canada.. plus i can add in the RPD and usb Stereo when the one in it craps out like they usually do.. the dealer said i could pay the difference for the never one if i wanted.

in canada wait...

in the states i wouldnt know cause i dont live there

I was about to shoot you down on this, but I was looking around and the GM ordering guide actually states that white will be available for the 2009 SS/T.

I'm shooting for a white 09 sedan...like the domestic/family look that GLH with good mpg to boot: frugal and fast.

I could not wait and it was now or never.
The problem is I wanted to trade in my Trailblazer and everyday the trade in price was going down. So when I found a car close to what I wanted I went for it.

It has everything but LSD and I can live without that.
So far it's looking like it will save me $200 a month and I got what I wanted.

always wait for the first year of a new car to pass, that way most of the problems are taken care of the next year. thats what i am doing and from the sound of it , alot of people here should have too!

0% for 72 months right now, so I’d get the 08 unless you can wait till next summer when they do it again.

GM is also raising prices across the board - expect the '09 models to run about a grand more than the '08 ones, with no immediate rebates. I wouldn't be surprised to see the MSRP of an '09 with LSD and sunroof to top 25 large.

And if you're so obsessed with the coming bluetooth, just buy yourself a $25 headset.

Curious where you found that? And does it include destination? If not, then that number will be over 24k.

Ah, good deal then, that's not as steep a hike as I thought it would be. As far as I know nothing "official" is out yet.

It seems that the ETA on this car is around Sept. for the 09's. I'm so frustrated... I pretty much found the car I want in Albany, several hours from my house, but still, I could pick it up and have it now. I can't help but think about resale value and the like since it will be better to have an 09 vs an 08. But.. I wonder if I can get a better deal on the 08., and I also don't really care about NAv or bluetooth or Reconfiguarble display... Decisions decisions

There is NO nav for 09. Also, worrying about the resale value is pretty pointless, all cars lose value. If you are worried about resale...buy a Honda.
