Centric Posi Quiet brake pad review
Centric Posi Quiet brake pad review
After swapping between OEM and Carbotech XP-10s for track events the first 2 years I owned the car, I thought I didn't need so much brake once I dedicated the SS to daily duties. So for the last year/15k miles I've been on Centric Posi Quiet pads. I don't want to give a long winded adjective laden rant about how lacking these pads feel.
Pros:
Low dust
Cons:
Feel like sticks of butter in rain after not keeping heat in them
Feel like extremely inferior brakes to stock even in the dry
You can't call what they do "bite", it's more like "squeeze"
I left foot brake as I approach exit ramps on interstates when it's raining. Otherwise I'll go 50-100ft before getting brakes. I'm putting my track pads and rotors back on. I don't care if it sounds like a bus and I have to wash my wheels every weekend. It's so worth it.
