Changing wheels and Interior cleaning (seats)
Changing wheels and Interior cleaning (seats)
So I have a set of wheels off an 06 SS/SC that are in good shape, one has minor rash on them but they have pretty much brand new tires on them, about 3000mi. I was wondering first if they fit, if not i need a spacer. Also because we have the Tire Pressure monitor in the DIC would it throw a CEL? Also for the suede section of the seats, what is the best way to clean that. My friend spilled a coffee on his evo seats about 2yrs ago and cleaned it with soap and water and it messed it up bad. Thanks
I saw someone on the forum try and fit the SS/SC wheels to his SS T/C to use as a winter set... They fit, but it's so tight that you'd have to be retarded to drive the thing. There's maybe a millimeter or two between the wheel and the Brembos up front. You'll need spacers, the offset isn't big enough on just about any wheel I've heard of without them.
keeping them for summer. I dont wanna mess them up on the Jersey roads in the winter so i figured if my other rims dont sell, https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/parts-66/f-s-leather-seats-06-rims-intake-low-rise-injectors-dc-strutbar-etc-129051/ ,ill keep them for this car. ALSO how much are spacers??
For the Suede , test a small area first ...but warm lightly soapy water should be fine . The Suede in the SS as with alot of cars nowadays is not real suede . Its washable microsude which is a synthetic material that resembles the look of Suede . Not sure why the water would have messed up your buddys seats in the Evo , my friend Josh has a 04 Evo with the same suede Recaro's and it too is microsuede , not real suede .
