Cold Start issue

Ok I have had an issue now for a few weeks. And I will start by saying BYT is awesome and has great tunes, so whatever I say is nothing bad against him or the company. Thanks BYT again for great tuning and service. But I have contacted him about this issue and he believes it's another vacuum leak.
Anyway, I wen to BYT for intake manifold clean and port and polish throttle body. So all that was done as well as a old vacuum tank removed (not needed due to BOV). But everything was fine till I got home and started the car the next time. I started the car and it revved to 1500rpm and 0 on boost gauge. Stays there till the car warms up then runs perfectly fine. But once warm and at idle the vac/boost gauge sits at around 17-18 vac

Second: I have an HKS BOV. I am having turbo surge so the question is, does anyone know if you can get different spring for it that are weaker?

Im not being rude or anything to that matter but its more or less cat disable or a vacuum leak... If Nick took care of everything then all should be well....

Cat warmup is a high idle mode when you start the car. Just because you have or dont have a cat doesnt mean anything, thats just what they call it. You can use or not use it with either cat or catless.

Your car has had numerous vacuum leaks and other issues, why cant these gremlins just go away already? lol. As always, you are welcome to bring the car back and I will look over it for you yet again You have one of those: Fine when its here, crappy when you go home cars. Happens when the car breaks and you bring it to the dealer and its fine, same thing happening here lol. You can call the shop line and setup a date to come up and we'll look it over for you again!

Yup, I have it. Doesn't really bother me. Just hangs rpms some out of my long ass driveway so I have to ride the brakes for a bit to avoid coming out too quick and scraping. Once it warms up, its fine tho.

Umm, possible the vac leak is something to do with the gasket between intake manifold and engine from us taking the manifold off and cleaning it?

No.

Have you removed that BOV spring to measure it for me yet?? If you do that I can tell you if the Tial springs will fit to help with that crazy turbo backspinning! Really should do that, can't stress enough how bad that is for the turbo to be doing that

I have had the same issue on and off.

I've come to the conclusion that something is amiss when I tune the Maf Freq. Table. If I put the maf frequency table to stock and put the Maf correction table to all 1's so I can retune my fuel trims, the problem goes away.

Once I start tuning the trims in the MAF frequency table, the cold start goes all haywire and I end up having the exact same issues as you.

Found a leak at GMS1 sensor on top of intake manifold. The side that you put the bolt is was lifting the other side up causing leak. Any suggestions?

Remove the bolt ure not using and find one thats not gonna get in the way and put silicone on the sensor around the base to seal it.

I just cant understand why then went to 1 bolt hole only still. And those O-Rings barely are a squeeze into the port on the IM, still concerned about that too really. I like the silicone idea, can't hurt!

I found a bigger o-ring and it works now. Still sits alittle off but it is in and no leak. My dad works at a machine shop and he's going to custom fabricate a bracket to bolt on top of the sensor. But I texted the dimensions of the HKS BOV spring.

Yea, got them last night. Ill look at my TiaL springs today and see if you could swap to one of those to get some adjustment out of that thing. If not, I can modify, or tell you how to modify the current spring to reduce the spring rate slightly. Just need to get it opening sooner and quicker.

Ever since i installed my intake my car does that, it'll start up cold, be at 1500 RPMS cause its cold the vacuum will be at 10 then once its warmed up itll be at 20

youre fine

when your car is cold the RPMS will always be higher its known for that

unless this isnt being explained correctly
