Cold start issues

Hey guys, I'm having some issues with my car, When it sits for several hours or over night and I start it it will misfire and sputter on cold starts only. After it warms up it runs fine and will only throw a CEL when first started. The dealer put new plugs in and the gap was.048 on #4 and.033 on 1,2,3. I'm thinking the coil pack got stressed too much and is now shot. Just wanted to see what you guys thought... Dealer isn't being much help with this issue. it is an 09 ss t/c.. thanks

random misfire and misfire on all 4, but the code is different every time. One day it will be a random misfire i'll clear it and next day it will be misifre on a specific cylinder.

Swap 2 and 4 coil pack. If the misfire code moves to 2 its coil. If it doesn't move check the plug.

That gap is too small.

Another member on here, YelloEye, had the same issue and found out it was coked-up valves. He had his entire head replaced by GM. PM him and see if he can help you out.

Alright well if the dealer just did that then you need to be taking back to them for a fix.

So what exactly did they do? Is a whole new head or did they just replace valves or what?

Does the car run fine when warm?

Have you ever replaced the Evap purge sensor?

They said two valves were stuck from carbon build up an the lifters were broken. so they fixed that and ported the top end said it was good to go. got it back threw another cel they replaced the fule pump cam shaft sensor pcm said it was done.. Again threw another code they started looking at bottom end replaced pistions and rings. And now they say theres nothing they can do...yes it runs fine when warm except for minor misfires which wont throw a cel. only time I can feel it struggleing is during cold start.. no have not looked at Evap

Well that still sounds like something is screwed up in the head.

and when the dealer says "there's nothing else they can do".

You escalate it like you have done. Where is the GM service chick Sarah or whatever her name is?

It scares me a bit when you say ported. Doesn't the LNF hate to be ported on the intake side?
