Coupe Turbo Gauge on Sedan

Hello, my first post so be gentle.

I currently drive a 2006 GTO but am seriously considering buying a 2009 SS Sedan.

I understand that the coupe comes with the multifunction turbo display and the sedan only comes with a simple boost gauge.

Can the display from the coupe be fitted onto the sedan with minimal effort or are they wired completely different from each other.

Love the Sedan and the gauge from the Coupe so I am trying to see if I can have the best of both in my new Sedan.

Thanks in advance for the help and I apologize if this has been posted before. I did try the search but didnt see anything.

What he said. You can probably purchase the GM adapter to wire everything into. I don't think they sell the RPD alone though. I thought the only way you could get it was from the factory. So, if that's true, you'd have to swap or purchase from someone who already has it.

Oh and just for the record, the SS Sedans are great! I may be a bit biased though...

Yeah, there's a thread going on right now about the RPD. It looks like there were some interesting finding about the nature of it that you may find promising for what you're wanting to do.

The original approach was to replace the whole wiring harness behind the dash of your car, but there's a newer, less invasive, way that you can do it that has been discovered.

Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it.

Bottom line it looks like the way to go is aftermarket.

The swap is possible but no one has an answer if it will work on '09s

As far as keeping the GTO goes....its coming off lease and I am looking for 4 doors, better gas mileage yet still having some good power. The SS Sedan fits all those requirements.

What kills me is GM isnt leasing anymore. I enjoyed getting a new car every 3 years. Looks like I will have to finance this time around

I wonder why the easy install RPD hasn't got more attention? That guy figured out a way to splice in the RPD with no harness, and hardly any time .......30-45 minutes for the total job.
