yes they do 12's on tune and tires only

You are right, and with that being said.

The same goes for the Caliber SRT-4.

Here is a little known fact.

Most Caliber SRT-4's are not running slicks because we can't run a wheel small enough to put a slick on with out changing the front calipers for clearence to something smaller. Therefore, most 1/4 miles time are on Goodyear F1's, 225/45 Rim 19'' (factory tire).

I for one are not down grading by factory calipers to run 12's, some guys do but i will not.

Interesting....I was going to buy a sport tint coat red ss/tc 4 door today....I actually turned a great deal down on it cause it was way slower then my Redline and the seats were junk 2006redcobaltss was riding passenger and can vouch. I would much rather buy a way nicer CSRT then a un-refined car like the ss/tc and thats why im probably buying an 08 CSRT Friday if all goes well with financing . Its the NSRT all over again. I have no idea how these cars are so quick, the 2 i have drove and the 2 i have raced have been ***** slow. And no its not the driving. Good races though!

And let me state this for the record. Im not putting down the SS/TC. So far Im pretty impressed with it. And if it is true your boyfriend did get those numbers with just a tune then wow that awesome and more power to him.

 

just for the record, granted i dont own a cobalt, and i LOVE the cobalt. i would buy a csrt4 im actually on all the csrt4 forums. sorry. not only do you have ROOM, COMFORTABILITY,and the numbers, its more affordable(at least around here). but in no way if i got a good deal on an ss/tc i wouldnt turn it down, so much potential in each car its crazy. though ill be sticking with the ion for many years to come LOL

WOW!!! the thing i don't understand is why everyone bashes each others cars... i mean to each his own. They're all nice cars, even though most owners are partial to the one they own... i mean i own an 08 SS/TC, but i'm not gonna go around bashing SRT-4's or G8's/GTO's.... I love my car and all but i think driving around and parading to people how "awesome & fast" it is, is a little rediculous... if you wanna race people, you're gonna win some and lose some and if you win great, if not, too bad. no need to bash on peoples ****. and just for the record... mine is back to stock at the moment, but i had a tune and dyno'd 301whp & 318 ft/lbs, and she was definitely no V killer.... Mustang GT's... all the time.... GTO's... maybe a 5.7 from like 40, but a 6.0... keep dreamin lol
just lighten up and people stop talkin ****... we're all enthusiasts and if you wanna bash someones ride, you should probably take it to another forum.

I got the owner of the cobalt sitting right here. Fri & Sat at 11-11:30pm same spot to meet up. Then we go to a predetermined place for worry free racing to triple digits.

My car will come out of hibernation soon...............and when it doesn........watchout!!!!
