differences in MAF relocate location?!?!?!?! AGAIN!

OK now im thinking and i know every company has different reasons to do different things and they test different ways......

dejon runs the maf relocate to the hot side piping before the BOV.

CIA runs the maf relocate to the cold side pipe right below the throttle body.

whats gonna be the difference and which one is better?

Cold side, closer to the correct temperatures the ECU needs for fuel calculations. The IAT1's come from the MAF sensor as well as the flow. The ECU calculates the fueling with these temps at the stock intake. Keeping it on the cold side is most beneficial.

That's what I have ala ZZP cold side CP.

If you put it on the hot side, the ECU will think you are drawing in 150* air instead of say 80* air.

The MAF was never intended to see boost. That little rubber gasket used to seal it will not hold boost for long, IMO.

~10k miles no leaks at 24 psi+ boost. If the trims shift, I'll make a gasket. When it works, don't fix it.

We've tried explaining this to you MANY times...

You car runs like **** because you were running STOCK BPV and a BOV on a tune that was for a BOV only. Your fuel problem is NOT hard to believe. Our buddy had a simlar problem, he didnt listen to us then his motor went boom. Go to the dealer and get it checked at asap. They has been a few fuel problems on this site.

Also OP, dejon runs the MAF after the BOV, not before.

yea man if you're gonna run the bov , get a block off plate and stop using the stock bpv.
also you need a maf relocate tune, and like mike said maf relocate needs to be after the bov. generally best before the tb somewhere on the cold side.
why? because anywhere else like the hot side pipe is retarded because its going to see 180+ temps.
