Down pipe before or after tune and why?

I got a 08 LNF with just a K&N intake. I'm contemplating getting a down pipe or a tune (Trifecta) next. Now my personal logic tells me i should get the down pipe before the tune so it all gets thrown together correctly but I've heard that some people get a Trifecta tune and then just put on the down pipe after because the tune only gets rid of the code it throws. Is this true?

Get the downpipe and go with a HP tune. You'll be happier.

Tune will take full advantage of the mods.

first off, stay away from trifecta, unless u want to get a brand new motor. then by all means, go ahead and use it. second. if ur getting both soon, do down pipe first, live with the code till u get tuned. or get the one from zzp with their angled bung, it doesn't throw a code. if u get tune first u will just have to retune after u get a downpipe

What the others have said- dp first.and don't go trifecta. At one time they weren't bad, but Vince isn't doing them anymore and they won't tweak it very well. Hell I would rather have gms1 over trifecta now.
