Which downpipe

Looking at downpipes for my brothers '09 SS/TC. Not sure which size to get. They have both 2.5" and 3". Looking for a direct bolt in replacement with no welding.

Was looking at these:
Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance

Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance

Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance

Now on my LS1 car I had to use O2 Sims or get the rear o2's tuned out to not set a CEL, are these the same way or is there a bung for the rear o2's on these DP's ?

I did do a search before I started this and didnt get any useful info.

Thanks in advance!

only the first one is for lnf....so that one?

If you have a tuning solution it can be tuned out. If you are stock or gm stage 1 make sure it has an angled bung to limit your chance of getting a cel. Also adding a cat will help not throw a cel. So for me, I did a high flow catted dp from hahn w/ angled bung and it has worked perfect on a gm stage 1.

I ended up getting the megan racing one but looks like the first one is what you need. The megan one has an angled 02 chamber but i still triggered a cel. until i installed an anti-fouler and drlled out the gap to be abit bigger.

Well its my bro's car, and he wants a catted one (emissions starting to get strict around here) and he wants some kind of tuner (like a supchips cortex).

Im only here for the research of parts while he's deployed out to sea for another 3 1/2 months. He wants a stock pile of parts to come home to so we can have something to do.

Also, this says "bolt in", so we're not going to have to weld anything correct?

Thanks for the help

Oh I knew that, he had a blown one before this one.

Downpipe refers to TURBO as far as im knew, if theres no turbo its referred to as a MID pipe.

But im with ya

hey there yea get a zzp downpipe and if he wants to get a tune GM sells one and it is a base one but it should give him 280hp 320tq, supercips is shitty lol I would just PM BTY on hear and have him give u an aftermarket one from HP tuners and he would be around 320hp 370tq

id honestly go with either the mpx catless downpipe from modernperformance cause its basically the same price as the zzp one but comes with extra bungs and stuff the the zzp doesnt
or
the badmab lnf downpipe, its cheaper than the others and have heard good results from it!

ahhh i was wondering why your sig said camaro. Ok ya so I'd say zzp downpipe or hahn. with high flow cat. its bolt in, just be careful of the o2 sensor wires. They are fairly fragile.

Superchips is fine .... I don't get why people say it's shitty. It's safe ..... convenient and makes basically the same power as GM stage 1 but without messing with the sensors .

You may want to consider a stage kit from Treadstone Performance. You said he wants a pile of parts when he gets home, why not get everything in one place? The Treadstone kit even comes with a tune.

Thank your brother for his service from me, and thank you for your sacrifice in not having him home!
