downpipe install.. question

hey guys i installed a zzp catless downpipe last night. First off what a great product even my bud who works at a master muffler was awed by the welds, and its obvious its a great piece. no cel (yet) and pretty good sound (need to remove the resonators i think). However not all went over smoothly the side that was to the turbo didnt have a gasket but a little piece off the turbo stuck out like a quarter of an inch around the rim so we figured that might be like the sealant piece. So my question is are there two gaskets or only one? it didnt sound like it had a exhaust leak but i get in the car and step on it and it almost sounds like the exhaust tone is coming from right under the cabin and not the back of the car. But i figure thats because i took out two cats its bound to be louder. anywho chime in please? there was no gasket so i figure maybe the guy who had it before me had a dp in it but switched to stock and didnt put the gasket back on. other then that i couldnt be happier, this install was so easy even compared to an sti where the turbo is placed in a much easier position, however two bolts were kinda a drag ended up having to remove the catback from the hangers and dropped it to get enough room to take off one of the bolts, another one we had to wait til the catback was dissconnected so the downpipe kinda hung down to make room.

The DP gasket up towards the turbo end is a metal ring. Trust me, it's in there from the factory. I replaced mine shortly after the install and had to pry the old one off the upper turbo (intermediate?) pipe. It's a crush metal gasket and I don't think it changed a thing when I replaced it other than making me feel better. I had it apart for a catted DP, then the catless so it was due to be changed.

The catless DP is loud when the wastegate opens. Tends to resonate at 2k rpm. Make sure the heatshield isn't vibrating around.

I just ordered a dp myslef and have been wondering do yous change the gaskets out when swapping the dp's, or just reuse the ones already there. Also can you only get gaskets from dealers?

Pic from install how-to: Turbo-side "gasket."

The catback-side gasket is just a piece of thin metal. Your dealer won't likely have any. I ordered some 2 weeks ago and am still waiting for them.
